This year students are learning more about drawing to create the illusion of 3 dimensions on a 2 dimensional paper.   They are using terms like shading, shadow, horizon line, foreshortened square and foreshortened circle.   They are also using terms such as horizontal, vertical, parallel, and perpendicular.   Mrs. Freeman  uses the Draw Squad program by Mark Kistler ( ).

Mrs. Freeman also teaches students about the art of presentation.   Our classes do several projects that combine language skills and art.   Students should always have on hand a supply of glue sticks, colored pencils, Sharpie markers, a ruler, and a pair of scissors.

For those times between projects or drawing assignments, students can visit one of the following websites to practice their art skills.
