The North Kitsap School District and Kitsap Regional Library have a shared belief that the love of literacy and learning is the foundation of becoming lifelong learners. We have formed a partnership that will provide all NKSD students a free Kitsap Regional Library Student Account.
This Student Account gives full access to a wide range of educational resources and provides equitable access to digital and print resources found at their school, home and Kitsap Regional Library.
Full Access for students includes:
- Easy access to KRL.org using their Student ID
- Access to physical materials and research expertise at all nine Kitsap Regional Library location
- Check out a Discovery Pass, telescopes, ukuleles and STEM Learning Kits
- Enjoy dedicated spaces for kids and teens
- Connect to free Wi-fi or use a public computer at any location
- Expansive research resources and learning tools
- Downloadable eBooks, audiobooks, video streaming and magazines
- Virtual and in-person classes, events and afterschool activities
- Free online tutoring and homework help in both English and Spanish
- No daily overdue or late fines
- Fees are only charged for lost or damaged books
- 24/7 access to digital resources, available online anywhere
Student Information Shared with Kitsap Regional Library
In order to provide student access to these educational resources, NKSD will share the following information to create the student account:
- Student name
- Address
- Date of birth
- Phone number
- Student ID number
No other information will be shared, and information shared with Kitsap Regional Library will not be shared or used outside of this partnership.We encourage parents to speak with their children about the proper use of the online resources now available to them. It is your responsibility to monitor your child’s online usage.
If you do not want your child to participate, please complete the Opt-Out process in Skyward Family Access by April 25, 2022.
