Dr. Evans joined the North Kitsap School District as Superintendent July of 2017. She describes herself as a “servant leader” who wants to make a difference in North Kitsap.
Before stepping into the Superintendent role in North Kitsap, Dr. Evans served as the Assistant Head of Schools at Francis Parker School in San Diego, Ca. Prior to her position at Francis Parker School, Evans served as Executive Director of Talent Development at Singapore American School in Singapore, Principal of Rose Hill Junior High and Stella Schola Middle School in Lake Washington School District, and Assistant Principal of Kamiak High School in the Mukilteo School District. Evans began her career as teacher in Plano, Texas. She earned her Doctor of Education from Seattle Pacific University in 2009, and her Superintendent Credential in 2007. She is also currently an adjunct professor at Seattle Pacific University, School of Education.
When she is not out in one of our schools, attending a school event, or working along side our community partners, you may find Dr. Evans scuba diving in our local waters! She is an avid, technically trained scuba diver who loves to explore everything from beautiful coral reefs, to deep shipwrecks and underground water-filled caves.
