Pearson P.R.I.D.E

At Pearson Elementary School, we take immense pride in our school mascot, the lion. The lion is a representation of our core values, which are encapsulated in the acronym P.R.I.D.E - Positive, Respectful, Integrity, Dependable, Engaged.

We believe that having a strong set of values is essential to building a community that is inclusive, supportive, and conducive to learning. The lion, with its courage, strength, and dignity, embodies the qualities that we want our students to cultivate in themselves.

Being Positive means having a can-do attitude, seeing the good in others, and embracing challenges as opportunities to learn and grow. We encourage our students to adopt a growth mindset and approach every situation with enthusiasm and optimism.

Being Respectful means treating others the way you want to be treated, showing empathy, and valuing diversity. We strive to create an environment where everyone feels safe, heard, and respected.
