Counseling Center
At Hilder Pearson Elementary, our Counseling Center serves as a crucial resource for our students, fostering their academic, personal, and social-emotional growth. Spearheaded by our dedicated school counselor, Mrs. Sherri Eckert, the center provides a supportive and inclusive environment that caters to each student's unique needs and potential. From academic guidance and personal and social development, to crisis intervention and parent-teacher collaboration, Mrs. Eckert's comprehensive approach ensures that our students are well-equipped to navigate their educational journey and beyond.
Furthermore, the Counseling Center plays a key role in promoting Social-Emotional Learning (SEL). SEL is a process where children understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions. With Mrs. Eckert's insightful guidance, the center introduces and reinforces these crucial life skills, helping students become well-rounded individuals. Whether it's through one-on-one counseling, small group sessions, or school-wide initiatives, the center is truly a cornerstone of Hilder Pearson Elementary's commitment to holistic child development.
